Frequently Asked Questions
Which board certifications does Dr. Zeynep Ozinci have?
Dr. Zeynep Ozinci is a double-board certified doctor who was certified for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and General Psychiatry by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
What is Dr. Ozinci's general philosophy for treating patients in psychiatric sessions?
Understanding, empathy, and support are the cornerstones of Dr. Ozinci's general philosophy for psychiatric sessions. She believes there is no one size fits all which means that no two treatment plans should ever be the same. Each individual's experiences, challenges, and needs are unique, so a cookie-cutter approach to treatment simply wouldn't be effective.
She takes the time to understand each patient's unique circumstances, preferences, and challenges. This allows her to develop personalized strategies that are not only effective but also sustainable in the long term. These strategies may encompass various aspects of healthy living:
Step 1: Evaluation sessions prioritize understanding your experiences and needs. Prior to the session, you (and your child, if applicable) will complete screening forms and questionnaires that provide valuable insights. Dr. Ozinci will carefully review these documents beforehand.
Step 2: Uncover the underlying reasons contributing to your difficulties, whether psychological, biological, or environmental.
Step 3: Develop a personalized understanding of your unique situation and challenges.
Step 4: Forge a collaborative plan for support and intervention, tailored to your specific needs and goals.
Step 5: Follow-up sessions focus on progress updates, adjustments to treatment plans, and addressing any new concerns.
